It is called the “Carbon Market” because carbon is the most widely produced green house gas (GHG). The range of other gasses that contribute towards climate change are recorded and calculated in terms of there carbon dioxide equivalent making it easier to calculate someone’s total emissions or their “Carbon Footprint.”
