“Double Counting” is when some carbon credits have been sold twice because they have not been properly registered. At Zero Trace all of the credits we sell our recorded on the carbon credit register. Once you purchase your credits the ownership will be transferred to you and they will be registered as sold.

This will ensure both that your credits cannot be sold again and that a real reduction in your green house gas emissions has happened.
