Our credits can vary in cost for two reasons. Firstly due to the level of verification they have gone through. This is not to say that the cheaper credits are of a lower quality because all of our credits are verified with accordance to the UNFCCC guidelines. However, a gold standard project has to go through additional costly checks, which raises the price.

The second reason is that because at Zero Trace Ltd we want to give you as many offsetting options as possible. To do this we invest in projects in a range of developing countries that reduce green house gas emissions in a number of different ways. Due to this variation the cost of running each project is different, resulting in the reduction of one tonne of carbon being more expensive in one project than another. This reflected in the prices that we offer.
