Zero Trace Ltd began in 2007 as a carbon offsetting company and quickly diversified into consultancy on the discovery that whilst there are numerous products and services to reduce energy usage, their applications and suitability are not always clear. As an independent consultancy service we are able to use our extensive knowledge of the market to identify the most effective solutions to achieve the goals of our clients.
Since it’s beginnings Zero Trace Ltd has continually diversified to meet to ever changing needs of clients in an industry that is still in it’s infancy. In 2008 following the launch of EPC and DEC reports, Zero Trace began supplying to large commercial agencies and now boasts a client base that includes some of the top agency firms in the world.
In early 2010 with raising energy prices and the imminent introduction of the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme, companies were more willing than ever to work on reducing their energy consumption.
However, initial consultancy costs and a fragile economy meant that few companies could afford to make the improvements that were so desperately needed. As a result, in mid 2010 Zero Trace Ltd launched an energy consultancy solution that has no initial fee. Clients only pay in relation to energy saved, meaning that if no savings are made, the service is free.
It has been the willingness to introduce new ideas and discover new ways of working that have enabled Zero Trace to continue to thrive, as it has done in recent years and will continue to do so in years to come.

Alex Hill - Managing Director & Founder

Alex holds a degree in Real Estate Management from Oxford Brookes University where he studied sustainability and the impact of real estate on the environment.
After completing studies into the financial viability of green buildings and sustainability solutions he moved into the consultancy field. When he’s not working to reduce energy consumptions he is a keen skier and enjoys outdoor activities.

Joe Warren - Operations Director

Joe Warren gained a 1st class honours degree
at Birmingham University in Technology. A major focus was placed on sustainability and its
implications.
He was awarded the
Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship whilst at university for finishing
top of the year and has recently given a presentation to the RWE npower
executive board on the future of British energy.
Outside of work Joe likes to play rugby and when
possible continue his volunteer work.
